A Beloved Tradition For Over A Twentieth Of A Century

2004 - The Beginning
It started simply enough. Allen and Gary wanted to do something different for the office holiday card. But what could they do to showcase their serious, professional side while also highlighting the South Florida lifestyle? Well, they couldn't really think of anything, so they decided to just shoot a photo sitting on the beach. This also began a tradition of Candy pretending to play Allen's violin.

2005 - The Legend Is Born
The next year brought no shortage of good ideas. But this idea had one drawback: It is very difficult to get sand out of a cumberbund. Clients still comment on this card, usually something like "that's when I knew you guys had lost your minds."

2006 - We Got Some Strange Looks
You can pretty much turn anything into a swami costume: Old bathrobe, comforter. This photo marked our first foray into the world of Photoshop, to create the image of the $100 bill inside the crystal ball.

2007 - All For One and One For All
With the addition of Steve and Dayana, we had a bigger staff, and so we needed a bigger holiday card concept. A short trip to Costume World and we were ready for our most attention-grabbing beach photoshoot yet. Trivia note: Steve cut off about two feet of hair a week after this photo was taken.

2008 - A Troubling Year
As we wrapped up a difficult year, no one in the office felt in a dress-up mood. So that year we took a simple office picture (with new advisor Gary Gonzalez) and took the morning we would have spent at the beach and volunteered at Broward Cooperative Feeding program, serving breakfast to the truly unfortunate in our community.

2009 - A Monumental New Direction
An idea from several years earlier finally came to fruition thanks to Allen's niece and the miracle of Photoshop. It wasn't easy to find someone who could make the Northstar guys look presidential. Reaction to this year's card varied from "you guys have outdone yourselves" to "why the heck did we get Candy's vacation photo for Christmas?"
